ALSUWEIDI Engineering Consultants is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to lead construction supervision activities on site and ensure projects are delivered in full compliance with contractual, technical, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Role Overview
The Resident Engineer is the senior on-site representative of the Consultant, responsible for managing all supervision activities, leading multidisciplinary teams, safeguarding contractual obligations, and acting as the main interface between the Client, Contractor, Authorities, and Head Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage site supervision, reporting, and coordination activities
- Monitor progress against approved programmes and enforce corrective actions
- Review and oversee technical submissions, shop drawings, RFIs, and method statements
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements
- Manage contract administration including payments, variations, claims, and EOTs
- Coordinate with Clients, Contractors, and Authorities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the supervision team
- Oversee testing, commissioning, project close-out, and handover documentation
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Professional certifications (PMP, PE, CEng, etc.) are an advantage
- Minimum 15 years of construction supervision experience
- At least 7 years asa Resident Engineer or in a senior consultancy supervision role
- Proven UAE project experience with authority coordination
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contract administration
- Proficient in ACONEX, Primavera, MS Project, and BIM viewers
