Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer (Mechanical) to join a supervision consultancy team for a major infrastructure development project located approximately 100 km north of Jeddah. The selected candidate will oversee all mechanical and utility-related works on site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and approved designs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage mechanical supervision activities on site as part of the consultant team.
  • Supervise installation and construction of potable water supply networks.
  • Oversee construction and installation of firefighting systems.
  • Supervise works related to gas distribution networks.
  • Monitor installation of stormwater drainage and sanitary sewage systems.
  • Supervise irrigation networks and landscape-related mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate mechanical works with other infrastructure utilities including road networks, power distribution, telecom infrastructure, and street lighting.
  • Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and international standards.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements submitted by contractors.
  • Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Prepare and review inspection reports, progress reports, and technical documentation.
  • Resolve technical issues on site and coordinate with the design team when required.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in infrastructure supervision projects with engineering consultancy firms.
  • Strong experience in potable water networks, firefighting systems, gas distribution, stormwater drainage, and sanitary sewage systems.
  • Experience working on multi-utility infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and site management skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
