Job Description
- Supervise and manage daily site activities related to road construction, ensuring compliance with contract documents, design drawings, and Ashghal standards.
- Review and approve contractor submissions, including shop drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and material submittals.
- Monitor construction progress against project schedules; prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure work quality, adherence to specifications, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (structural, drainage, utilities, traffic management, and landscaping) to resolve technical issues.
- Oversee contractor compliance with temporary traffic management plans and ensure minimal disruption to public traffic.
- Manage contractual matters, including claims, variations, change orders, and correspondence, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation: daily site diaries, non-conformance reports, inspection reports, minutes of meetings, and as-built drawings.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to site inspectors, surveyors, and junior engineers.
- Participate in client meetings, site coordination meetings, and support the Project Manager in reporting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure quality control and assurance through proper testing, verification, and monitoring of materials and construction activities.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Roads / Highways specialization preferred).
- Professional license (UPDA/MMUP) in Qatar is highly preferred.
- Minimum 14 years of experience in road construction projects, preferably on Ashghal projects.
- Strong knowledge of QCS standards, Ashghal specifications, and international road construction standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management software.
