We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist Specialist (RT) to join our team in KSA-Abha. As a Respiratory Therapist Specialist, you will be responsible for providing specialized respiratory care to patients with chronic respiratory conditions, post-acute respiratory needs, and those requiring ongoing ventilatory support. RT collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate respiratory care plans, ensuring optimal respiratory function, safety, and quality of life for patients.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy from an accredited institution.
- Additional certifications in ventilator management, oxygen therapy, or advanced airway management are preferred.
- Valid SCFHS license as Specialist.
- 1-3 years of clinical experience, in respiratory therapy, preferably in rehabilitation or long-term care settings.
- Experience working with elderly populations and residents with chronic respiratory diseases such as COPD, asthma, or post-stroke respiratory weakness.
- Experience with mechanical ventilation and tracheostomy management is an asset.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Assess respiratory function and needs of patients upon admission and regularly thereafter.
- Implement prescribed respiratory treatments and therapies.
- Manage ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and airway devices.
- Educate patients and family members in respiratory health management.
- Monitor and record vital signs and respiratory parameters.
- Recognize early signs of respiratory deterioration and escalate care as needed.
- Ensure proper maintenance and sterilization of respiratory equipment.
- Assist with airway management, including suctioning and tracheostomy care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and team meetings.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Support patients participation in respiratory rehabilitation programs.
- Contribute to infection prevention measures related to respiratory care.
- Provide support during resident transfers and mobility exercises.
- Document all interventions, assessments, and resident responses accurately.
