RETAIL ARCHITECT LEAD

Korea Town is looking for an experienced Retail Architect Lead to take ownership of the planning, design, technical development, and delivery of retail architecture and fit-out projects. This is a senior, hands-on role spanning concept development, project governance, budgeting, contractor management, technical delivery, and execution.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll lead retail architecture projects from concept to completion, ensuring every location delivers a consistent brand experience while meeting commercial, operational, technical, and regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the planning, design, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of retail architecture and fit-out projects
• Developing and evolving store concepts, architectural guidelines, design standards, and new retail formats
• Reviewing and approving layouts, 3D concepts, material selections, architectural drawings, and technical packages
• Ensuring consistent brand identity and customer experience across retail locations
• Driving innovation in store design and identifying opportunities to enhance the retail experience
• Managing project budgets, CAPEX, cost assessments, rate cards, and change requests
• Overseeing consultants, vendors, contractors, tenders, bidding, negotiations, and contractor selection
• Managing project risks and acting as the key escalation point for architectural, engineering, construction, and fit-out matters
• Establishing strong design governance, documentation controls, and architectural standards
• Monitoring construction quality, regulatory compliance, contractor performance, and design consistency
• Leading design reviews, project presentations, and executive reporting
• Providing technical direction, mentorship, and leadership to project teams

What You Bring

We're looking for an experienced retail architecture professional who can lead projects, influence stakeholders, manage commercial priorities, and protect the design vision.

You should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in retail architecture, commercial fit-out, architectural project management, or a related discipline
• Strong experience managing retail design projects and contractors
• Advanced knowledge of retail architecture, space planning, construction methodologies, and commercial fit-out
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and architectural drafting software
• Practical knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, or similar 3D modeling and visualization tools
• Experience managing multiple retail projects, balancing quality, timelines, budgets, and business priorities
• Strong commercial and financial understanding, including CAPEX, project budgets, cost estimates, and change requests
• Excellent contractor management, negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving capabilities
• Professional fluency in English
