Job Summary
The Retail Commercial Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, brand positioning, and profitability across luxury retail operations. The role focuses on maintaining premium brand standards, optimizing product assortment, managing pricing strategy, and enhancing the overall client experience. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in luxury retail, deep understanding of high-net-worth clientele, and proven experience in premium brand management.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Brand Alignment
- Develop and execute commercial strategies aligned with luxury brand positioning and global guidelines.
- Ensure all commercial decisions maintain brand exclusivity and prestige.
- Analyze market trends and luxury consumer behavior to identify growth opportunities.
- Drive boutique performance while preserving brand image and client experience.
Sales & Revenue Optimization
- Lead pricing strategy in line with international brand standards.
- Monitor sales KPIs including sell-through rates, average transaction value (ATV), conversion rate, and margin performance.
- Develop action plans to maximize profitability without compromising brand equity.
- Manage seasonal launches, capsule collections, and exclusive product drops.
Client Experience & Relationship Management
- Ensure exceptional in-store experience aligned with luxury service standards.
- Support VIP client development and CRM initiatives.
- Collaborate with marketing on private events, trunk shows, and brand activations.
- Strengthen long-term relationships with high-value clients.
Merchandising & Product Management
- Oversee product assortment planning based on local market demand and global directives.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure availability of key pieces while maintaining exclusivity.
- Coordinate with visual merchandising to uphold premium presentation standards.
- Manage slow-moving stock with strategic actions while protecting brand image.
Financial & Performance Management
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and margin analysis.
- Control operational costs while maintaining luxury standards.
- Deliver detailed performance reports to senior leadership and brand principals.
- Ensure compliance with global brand policies and commercial agreements.
Vendor & Brand Principal Coordination
- Act as the main liaison with international brand partners.
- Participate in buying sessions and seasonal collection previews.
- Negotiate commercial terms aligned with brand positioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 812+ years of experience in luxury retail (fashion, jewelry, watches, or premium lifestyle brands).
- Proven track record managing luxury boutiques or multi-brand luxury operations.
- Strong understanding of luxury consumer behavior and high-end market dynamics.
- Experience working with international luxury brand principals.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical capability.
