Main Role:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Retail Design & Delivery Engineer, responsible for supporting technical design coordination, supervising execution activities, and ensuring the successful delivery of retail and tenant fit-out projects. The role ensures that approved design specifications are accurately implemented on-site, timelines are met, quality standards are maintained, and all delivery activities comply with safety, operational, and commercial requirements
Job Title: Retail Design & Delivery Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Review shop drawings, technical specifications, and material submittals.
- Coordinate between architectural, MEP, and structural disciplines to ensure alignment.
- Identify technical conflicts and propose practical solutions.
- Ensure all designs comply with approved company standards and guidelines.
- Supervise on-site construction and installation activities.
- Monitor progress against approved schedules and milestones.
- Verify workmanship quality and compliance of materials used.
- Ensure contractors adhere to project requirements and technical specifications.
- Review tenant design submissions to ensure compliance with guidelines.
- Conduct site inspections throughout fit-out stages.
- Coordinate inspections with mall management and TQM teams.
- Approve readiness for operational handover upon completion.
- Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure compliance.
- Report non-compliance issues or safety risks promptly.
- Ensure proper documentation of inspections, approvals, and corrective actions.
- Support internal audits and regulatory compliance processes.
- Prepare structured weekly progress and technical reports.
- Highlight risks that may impact cost, quality, or timelines.
- Escalate material deviations and technical concerns to RDD.
- Support executive reporting through organized documentation and updates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional engineering registration is considered an advantage.
- 510 years of total professional experience.
- Proven experience in retail, commercial, or tenant fit-out projects.
- Experience in multi-site project environments is preferred.
- Strong coordination, supervision, and technical review capabilities.
