ROLE SUMMARY
The Retail Design Manager manages tenant design submissions and ensures compliance with Asset Management Business Unit's design, brand, and regulatory standards. This role bridges creativity and functionality, helping tenants bring their concepts to life while maintaining Majid Al Futtaim's overall architectural integrity, brand positioning, and customer experience quality.
ROLE PROFILE
- Review all tenant design drawings for compliance with mall guidelines and statutory codes.
- Provide feedback and coordinate revisions with tenants and design consultants.
- Maintain consistency in brand standards, finishes, and spatial layouts across the portfolio.
- Update and disseminate Majid Al Futtaim's Retail Design Guidelines and Tenant Handbook.
- Work closely with Leasing and RDD to ensure smooth design-to-delivery transitions.
- Support site coordination and address design-related issues during construction.
- Introduce innovative design trends, materials, and sustainable practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with property teams: Leasing, Operations, Mall Management, Key Accounts, Marketing, PMBU/DBU counterparts, Mall Security.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
- 8–12 years in retail design and tenant coordination with experience within malls or mixed-use environments.
- Proven experience within malls or mixed-use environments.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
