Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for retail brands.
  • Analyze revenue, margins, operating expenses, and profitability by store and brand.
  • Provide variance analysis and actionable insights to senior management.
  • Develop financial models to support expansion plans and new store openings.

Retail Performance Management

  • Partner with Retail Operations to improve cost control and margin performance.
  • Support pricing strategies and promotional impact analysis.
  • Ensure effective internal controls over cash handling.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly management reports with financial commentary.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial statements for retail operations.
  • Coordinate with the accounting team for proper revenue recognition and expense allocation.
  • Support external and internal audits related to retail operations.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Strengthening internal control frameworks across retail brands.
  • Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Business Partnering

  • Act as a strategic partner to the Retail Director.
  • Provide financial guidance on expansion, closures, and restructuring decisions.
  • Participate in commercial negotiations where financial input is required.

Job Requirement

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.

Certificates

  • CMA, or equivalent certification, is preferred.

Experience

  • 10-12 years of experience in finance, with at least 35 years in retail or FMCG.

Technical Tools and Experience

  • MS Office, Microsoft Dynamics, or any relevant ERP system
