Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Retail Sales Indoor X Alshaya role based in Cairo, Egypt at Bakier Stationery & Office Supplies. The role involves welcoming customers, understanding their needs, and providing product recommendations that align with their preferences and budget. Daily tasks include explaining product features, maintaining up-to-date product knowledge, and ensuring merchandise is well-presented and stocked. The position also requires processing sales transactions, handling basic inquiries and concerns, and supporting promotional activities within the store. The Retail Sales team member collaborates with colleagues to achieve sales targets and deliver a consistent, high-standard customer experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Communication skills to engage effectively with diverse customers and handle inquiries professionally.
- Candidates should possess solid Retail Sales and Product Knowledge skills to drive sales, recommend suitable items, and explain features and benefits clearly.
- Candidates should possess excellent Interpersonal Skills to build rapport with customers and work collaboratively with team members.
- Basic numeracy and point-of-sale (POS) system skills, with the ability to handle cash and electronic transactions accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, manage multiple customers, and work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Prior experience in retail, stationery, or office supplies sales is an advantage but not strictly required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in sales or customer service is beneficial.
- Fluency in Arabic is required; proficiency in English is a strong advantage.
