Job Overview:

Here's your chance to step into the role of Rides Technician at Global Village part of Dubai Holding Entertainment. In this position, you'll take on key responsibilities that include:

This position is responsible to repair, maintain and maximize availability of all amusement rides and devices at Carnaval, Global Village, and keeping safety as the top priority. Ensures compliance with all applicable requirements and standards.

Key Accountabilities:

• To comply with Global Village Vision & Mission
• To integrate work ethic to reflect Global Village Values
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Ensures the Safety of Guests and Employees all the times.
• Conducts Planned Preventative Maintenance on an ongoing basis to ensure rides are fully operational
• Supports the Technical Management to ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance is completed in timely manner
• Complete any required paperwork and checklists to the required standard
• Supports with the process of identifying ride faults and resolving them.
• Takes active responsibility for ride technical stoppages and management of them whilst the park is open
• Check the attractions frequently for any needed repairs and maintenance. Ensures all such checklists and reports are captured via ride maintenance software, if available.
• Communicates with other department staff members who have an interest in or may be affected by the work.
• Liaise with relevant third party entities during mandatory ride inspections to maintain safe and correct ride operation
• Prepare and monitor reports as required by the management.
• Conducts continuous safety inspections to identify and correct hazards
• Ensures proper use of machines, tools and equipment
• Inspects/checks and approves opening, suspension and re-opening of rides and attractions.
• Works closely with Ride Operations and the Operations Departments to ensure proper service.
• Assists as needed, Technical Services team or Operations team crews with daily tasks.
• Report and identify any risks to Carnaval Management immediately
• Ensures that any accidents and incidents are reported to Carnaval Management immediately
• Enforces and adheres to all Department and Park policies and guidelines.
• Assists other departments as requested.
• Support Third Party Inspection bodies to carry out all required initial approval and independent thorough inspections for the rides and devices.
• Follow all GV policies as they relate to general office protocol and specifically for Carnaval operations and park safety.
• Ensures that any risks identified are Risk Assessed and that these are recorded and reported immediately.
• Actively promote a strong HSE culture amongst staff and contractors within Carnaval
• Supports maintenance during operations (i.e. during season), pre-opening set-up of all rides, dismantling/close-out of all rides after the season and off-season.
• Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications: Certificate of Engineering in Mechanical or Electrical

Experience: 2 years experience working with amusement rides.

Skills:

• Must possess a working knowledge of international standards (i.e. EN 13814, standards related to Amusement rides and devices), Torque Inspection Standards & Inspection international Standard EN 17020.
• Must be able to read Blueprints, Mechanical Schematics, Ride Drawings & Manufacturer manuals
