Job Description

We are looking to hire a Risk & Governance Specialist who will be responsible for supporting risk assessment, corporate governance, and reporting for our client based in Dubai, UAE one of the largest organizations in the region.

This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 6 months and may be open to renewal depending upon performance.

The role sits within the Business Excellence & IT Department and reports directly to the Head of Business Excellence.

We are looking for a passionate Risk & Governance Specialist to support in risk identification, governance framework development, and management reporting. You should also have experience in corporate governance, risk management frameworks, and regulatory alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, identify gaps and potential risks, and recommend best practices for mitigation.
  • Maintain and update a master risk register for the Authority.
  • Draft a corporate governance framework aligned with applicable regulations.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure risk management and governance practices are integrated across the organization.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in governance and compliance initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in risk management, governance, and compliance within the UAE.
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive/confidential information.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or related field (Master's or certifications like ISO, COSO, CIA, CRMA preferred).

Availability:

  • UAE experience is a must.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who can join immediately.
