Risk & Compliance Officer

A leading global FinTech firm is looking to hire a Risk & Compliance Officer to take ownership of its local framework within ADGM. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on self-starter who can build, streamline, and lead risk and compliance processes while partnering closely with global teams.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and best practices, while embedding a strong risk culture across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance
- Develop and maintain compliance policies in line with Abu Dhabi Global Market regulations
- Monitor regulatory adherence, including product governance and financial promotions
- Support audits, regulatory reporting, and internal reviews
- Deliver training and guidance across the business
Risk
- Identify, assess, and mitigate key business risks
- Implement and enhance risk management frameworks
- Partner with stakeholders to embed risk into day-to-day operations
- Prepare risk reports for senior leadership
Data Protection
- Act as the Data Protection Officer
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and oversee data security controls
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in Risk/Compliance within financial services or FinTech
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, ideally within ADGM
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Relevant degree (Law, Finance, Business) – certifications advantageous
