We are looking for a Risk Manager that will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that foster a risk-aware culture throughout all functions within the organization. The position is based in Dubai and entails the following responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive risk strategies and a structured framework for effective risk management across the company.
- Implement initiatives to build a strong risk-awareness culture that promotes proactive risk identification and mitigation of risks.
- Establish and manage robust systems and procedures for identifying, collecting, analyzing risk data, and devising effective response plans.
- Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of implemented risk controls to ensure they remain efficient and relevant.
- Ensure compliance with the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) risk management regulations, including capital adequacy, liquidity, and solvency requirements, aligning with the UAE's insurance regulatory framework.
- Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process to accurately assess the company's risk profile and solvency requirements.
- Lead stress testing and scenario analysis exercises, ensuring compliance with CBUAE regulations, to gauge the company's resilience under various adverse conditions.
- Implement and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and early warning systems to detect emerging risks and ensure alignment with CBUAE requirements for proactive risk management.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of risk exposures to CBUAE and the Board of Directors, maintaining compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and ensuring transparency in risk management activities.

You are right for the role if you meet the following requirements:
- Bachelors degree in insurance, finance, actuarial studies, economics, or a relevant field. A postgraduate degree (MBA) from a reputable institution is a significant advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 7 years in the insurance or banking industry.
