Risk Manager

métier - Strategic HR Solutions is hiring an experienced Risk Manager for a leading insurance organization in the UAE.

The role will focus on strengthening the organization's risk management framework, ensuring effective risk oversight, and supporting regulatory and governance requirements within the insurance sector.

What You'll Do

• Manage and enhance the organization's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
• Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate key insurance and enterprise risks.
• Support capital management, risk assessments, risk reporting, and governance activities.
• Ensure risk management practices are aligned with applicable UAE insurance regulations and CBUAE requirements.
• Develop and monitor risk policies, frameworks, KRIs, and reporting mechanisms.
• Prepare risk insights and reports for senior management and relevant governance committees.
• Liaise with regulators and internal stakeholders on risk and regulatory matters.
• Contribute to strengthening the organization's overall risk and governance culture.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant risk management experience, with at least 5 years in the insurance sector.
• Strong understanding of insurance risk management, ERM, capital management, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with the UAE insurance market and CBUAE regulatory requirements is highly preferred.
• Professional certification such as FRM, PRM, CFA, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and regulatory engagement skills.
• Candidates who meet or are able to satisfy the applicable CBUAE fit-and-proper requirements for insurance control functions will be preferred.
• Willingness to relocate within UAE.
