Job Description

ASMO is a groundbreaking joint venture between DHL and Aramco. Inheriting DHL's logistics excellence and Aramco's extensive supply chain ecosystem, we are here to set a new benchmark and redefine the procurement and supply chain landscape, enabling growth.

ASMO aims to provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region.

Objective

The role holder is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing efficient procurement risk management tools, processes, and procedures. The Procurement Risk & Resilience focuses on identifying potential risks, creating corrective plans, and ensuring that vendor partnerships align with ASMO's policies & procedures.

General Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate procurement risk management tools, templates, methods, and processes to minimize risks associated with purchasing and ensure compliance with ASMO's policies and procedures
  • Ensure that risk management policies and procedures related to purchasing are regularly reviewed and updated to align with best practices.
  • Create performance metrics and checklists to evaluate vendors from a risk perspective.
  • Lead assessments of vendor risk, identifying potential risks, and developing mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assign responsibilities for monitoring and managing vendor risks effectively.
  • Participate in the vendors decision-making process by providing expertise on risk-related matters associated with partnerships.
  • Collaborate with ASMO's business functions to monitor and report contract breaches, delivery delays, or completion period delays, and assess applicable penalties.
  • Ensure that risks related to organizations operating in the procurement domain and joint ventures in KSA are identified, and risk mitigation controls are in place to protect the interests of ASMO.
  • Present high-risk vendor contracts and instances of ineffective controls to senior management and develop corrective action plans to address inadequate controls.
  • Stay informed about developments in the field of vendor risk management to enhance and align ASMO's business practices with the latest standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English
  • 0-5 years experience in the same Field.
