Roads Engineer

ECB – Engineering Consulting Bureau is looking for Roads Engineers to join our team and contribute to major infrastructure and road projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor road construction and infrastructure works.
• Review contractors shop drawings, method statements, and technical submittals.
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor earthworks, subgrade, subbase, base course, asphalt works, and road finishing works.
• Review and follow up on material testing and quality control activities.
• Coordinate with contractors and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct site inspections and review Inspection Requests (IRs).
• Monitor work progress and report technical issues and non-conformities.
• Review as-built drawings and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in Roads and Infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of road construction methods and materials.
• Experience in supervising earthworks, pavement, asphalt, and road infrastructure works.
• Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD; knowledge of Civil 3D is preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience in an engineering consultancy is preferred.
• Willingness to work on project sites.
