About the company

VentureOne is building a new venture focused on next-generation robotics, developing intelligent service robots designed to operate safely and efficiently in human environments. The mission of this venture is to improve productivity, safety, and efficiency across high-impact industries by deploying versatile robotic systems.

About the role

We're hiring a Robot Operator (Field Operations) to support the safe, reliable day-to-day operation of our robotic systems in real-world environments. This role focuses on executing predefined missions, monitoring robot performance during live operations, performing operational troubleshooting, and ensuring robots remain ready and compliant throughout deployment. This role is ideal for a hands-on, safety-conscious operator who is comfortable working with advanced robotic systems in live environments. You will work closely with Field Roboticists, Surveyors, and engineering teams, following established runbooks and procedures while providing structured operational feedback to support continuous improvement of system reliability and usability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily start-up, shutdown, and routine operational checks for deployed robots.
  • Execute predefined missions, tasks, and demonstrations, ensuring robots operate according to plan.
  • Monitor robot performance in real time and escalate issues to the Field Roboticist when required.
  • Carry out basic troubleshooting activities, including system reboots, reconnections, consumables replacement, and battery swaps.
  • Maintain robot readiness, including charging, sensor cleaning, and updating consumables and spare parts logs.
  • Follow runbooks and on-call playbooks to safely respond to alarms, alerts, or operational anomalies.
  • Keep accurate records of robot operations, incidents, and operator interventions.
  • Work closely with Surveyors and Field Roboticists to validate site maps and support robot navigation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, site access rules, and HSE requirements at all times.
  • Provide structured feedback to engineering teams on operational usability, reliability, and recurring issues.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Field robotics and autonomous systems deployed in real-world environments, including AMRs, humanoid robots, and quadrupeds.
  • Hands-on experience operating robots, drones, AGVs, or similar field-deployed machines.
  • Basic understanding of robot safety zones, emergency stop systems, and safe handling procedures.
  • Familiarity with using tablets, dashboards, or operator GUIs for mission execution and monitoring.
  • Strong attention to detail when following checklists, safety procedures, and operational reporting.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with site personnel and technical teams.
  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a technical operator or technician is an advantage.
  • HSE training or certifications are desirable (also willingness to participate and complete the courses).
  • Valid driving license to travel between operational sites.

We provide a competitive, tax-free salary and a comprehensive benefits package in a collaborative, innovative and inclusive work environment.

Our benefits include an education allowance, free on-site meals, annual flight allowance, health coverage, relocation support (if applicable), and access to well-being activities such as sports and recreational events.

Join us to drive innovation and shape the future of technology!
