Rolling Stock Technician – Doha, Qatar
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of metro rolling stock.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
- Work on rolling stock systems including traction, braking, bogies, wheelsets, doors, HVAC, pneumatic and related train systems.
- Carry out inspections, testing, component replacement and fault-finding activities.
- Support dynamic/static testing and train maintenance activities as required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow OEM, safety and operational procedures.
- Work effectively within a depot and operational metro environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on rolling stock / metro train maintenance experience.
- Experience with metro, LRT or urban rail rolling stock preferred.
- Hands-on exposure to mechanical and electrical train systems.
- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Fault-finding and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with CMMS such as IBM Maximo, SAP PM or similar is preferred.
- Candidates with experience in bogies, wheelsets, traction motors, pantographs, couplers, pneumatic/braking systems, TCMS or HVAC are preferred.
- Willingness to relocate to Doha, Qatar.
