Job Description

First : Required Skills for the Position: Financial Analyst Finance Department

1.1. Financial Analysis Skills

Ability to analyze financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement).

Identify and interpret year-over-year changes and underlying financial drivers.

Strong understanding of key financial ratios (liquidity, profitability, leverage, activity).

Ability to assess cash flow trends and repayment capacity (DSCR / Cash Flow Analysis).

1.2. Credit Assessment & Underwriting

Preparing credit studies for new financing applications.

Evaluating financial and operational risks.

Reviewing collateral coverage and assessing repayment behavior.

Preparing well-structured credit recommendations supported by quantitative analysis.

1.3. Knowledge of Islamic Finance Structures

Basic understanding of Islamic financing products such as Murabaha, Ijara, Istisna'a.

Ability to differentiate products based on client needs and sector requirements.

1.4. Annual Financial Review Analysis

Conducting annual reviews for existing clients.

Comparing financial performance across multiple periods and identifying strengths and weaknesses.

Evaluating client compliance with repayment schedules and identifying early warning signs.

1.5. Reporting & Presentation Skills

Preparing professional credit reports for management and the Credit Committee.

Ability to write concise and clear executive summaries.

Creating financial tables, dashboards, and charts to support decision-making.

1.6. Advanced Excel Skills

Strong command of financial formulas and linked worksheets.

Building easy-to-read analytical models for credit evaluation.

1.7. Knowledge of Central Bank of Kuwait Regulations

Understanding CBK guidelines for consumer, installment, and commercial financing.

Familiarity with credit concentration limits, risk controls, and regulatory requirements.

1.8. Sector & Market Research Skills

Ability to gather market insights related to the client's industry.

Understanding sector-specific risks (commercial, industrial, contracting, oil & gas, F&B, etc.).

1.9. Attention to Detail

Ability to review financial statements and contracts with high accuracy.

Verifying data completeness and correctness before submitting credit recommendations.

1.10. Communication & Language Skills

Strong report-writing skills in English.

Ability to communicate effectively with clients to obtain required documents.

Collaboration with internal departments (Legal, Risk, Finance).

2 : Key Responsibilities

Analyze new financing applications submitted by clients.

Review financial statements, repayment capacity, and identify credit risks.

Prepare clear and well-structured credit recommendations based on analysis.

Conduct annual financial reviews for existing clients and evaluate financial performance.

Review client compliance with repayment schedules and evaluate collateral coverage.

Follow up on required client documents and coordinate with internal departments.

Contribute to the preparation of periodic portfolio performance reports.

Communicate with clients to collect updated financial information and required documents.

Qualifications

Clerical Skills and Executive Administrative Assistance

Strong Communication and Customer Service skills

Experience with Company Secretarial Work

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work on-site in Kuwait City

Bachelor's degree or relevant certification is a plus
