Safety Engineer

Role Description

We are seeking a qualified Safety Engineer with experience in road and bridge construction projectsto support and oversee health and safety activities across our construction sites. The role is fully field-based, involving regular site inspections, risk assessments, safety monitoring, incident reporting, and coordination with project teams to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
• 15 years of relevant health and safety experience.
• Proven experience in road and bridge construction projects.
• Extensive experience in managing safety activities on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction site safety regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control measures.
• Experience in preparing and implementing Health and Safety Plans (HSE Plans).
• Experience in conducting site safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Strong knowledge of safety requirements for excavation, lifting operations, working at heights, and heavy - equipment operations.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management systems.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are preferred.
• Experience in coordinating with project managers, consultants, contractors, and site teams.
• Ability to identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Strong communication, reporting, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully field-based role.
