Safety Engineer

Job Objective

To oversee work permit activities and ensure compliance with approved HSE requirements, supporting safe and controlled work execution across power generation projects and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate work permits prior to commencing activities.
• Ensure required safety precautions and control measures are implemented.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and contractor teams.
• Monitor compliance with permit conditions and HSE procedures.
• Verify permit validity throughout work activities.
• Ensure proper suspension and closure of permits upon completion.
• Identify unsafe conditions or permit violations and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with power generation safety standards and site requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in safety and work permit activities, preferably within power generation or power plant projects.
• Valid CSCC00 – General Introductory Training in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Valid CSCC06 – Power Plant Safety for Generation Contractors.
• Valid CSCC07 – Generation Work Permit Holder.
• Sound knowledge of Work Permit / Permit to Work (PTW) systems and HSE procedures.
• Strong coordination, communication, and follow-up skills.
