We are currently hiring a Safety Officer - 10 Months Contract role on behalf of a prestigious client, based in their Dubai office.
Job Purpose:
- Support the development, implementation, and continual improvement of company's non-aviation Health & Safety Management System across all operational areas. Ensure that hazards are identified, risks are assessed, and appropriate controls are implemented and sustained.
- Provide operational safety support, inspections, reporting, capability building and stakeholder coordination to strengthen safety performance, prevent harm, and embed a proactive safety culture across non-aviation business units.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the development, improvement and deployment of Health & Safety procedures, manuals and operational standards across non-aviation activities.
- Perform risk assessments and ensure suitable and sufficient controls are defined, communicated, implemented and monitored across relevant work areas. Support stakeholder coordination and engagement with internal units and external regulators on non-aviation safety requirements.
- Support development of H&S competency frameworks and conduct training needs analyses to define skills and capability gaps. Deliver targeted safety training and toolbox sessions to drive safe work practices.
- Maintain accurate safety records, data and reporting dashboards to support analysis and management decision making. Participate in incident investigations and support root-cause analysis and corrective action closure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline.
- Risk assessment tools, incident investigation tools, H&S reporting systems, safe systems of work.
