Safety Officer

Job Purpose:

We are searching for a highly motivated Safety and Occupational Health Specialist to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. In this position, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our occupational safety and health (OSH) programs. You will also be responsible for identifying and mitigating workplace hazards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among staff.

Responsibilities:

1.Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive OSH programs that comply with all local and national regulations.

2. Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. 3. Investigate accidents and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.

4. Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels.

5. Maintain accurate records of all safety incidents, inspections, and training activities.

6. Stay up-to-date on the latest OSH regulations and best practices.

7. Advise management on OSH matters and ensure their commitment to safety.

8. Promote a positive safety culture within the organization.

Qualifications:

1.Bachelor's degree.

2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety and health role.

3. Strong understanding of occupational safety and health principles and practices.

4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

5. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
