The Safety Specialist is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the company's Safety Program. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company safety standards while promoting a strong safety culture across all departments. The EHS Specialist works closely with management and employees to reduce workplace risks, prevent incidents, and maintain a safe working environment.

Specific tasks:
- Lead the execution and continuous improvement of the company's Safety Program.
- Develop and update safety policies, procedures, and SOP's
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and company standards.
- Support implementation of safety management systems
- Conduct regular risk assessments
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor high-risk activities and ensure proper control measures are in place.
- Maintain hazard identification and risk register documentation.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and internal audits.
- Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend preventive measures.
- Prepare incident reports and safety performance metrics.
- Develop and deliver safety induction and refresher training programs.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness campaigns.
- Ensure employees understand emergency procedures and safe work practices.
- Promote a proactive safety culture within the organization.
- Support development and testing of emergency response plans.
- Coordinate fire drills and evacuation exercises.
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
- Track KPIs such as incident rates, lost time injuries, and corrective actions.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly safety performance reports.
- Ensure documentation is audit-ready and compliant with l requirements
Skills and competencies:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in EHS or workplace safety.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel
