Job Description – Safety Officer

Work Location: Al Taweelah & KEZAD, Abu Dhabi

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a process plant or oil & gas field environment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and maintaining compliance with HSE standards and site safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Monitor Permit to Work (PTW) and high-risk activities.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and safety awareness sessions.
• Monitor hot work, confined space, work at height, lifting, excavation, and other critical activities.
• Conduct Risk Assessments and JSA/JHA.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and prepare reports.
• Ensure proper PPE usage and adherence to site safety procedures.
• Support emergency response, drills, and safety initiatives.
• Monitor contractor compliance with HSE requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer/HSE Officer.
• Experience in a process plant, refinery, petrochemical facility, or oil & gas field is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of industrial and oil & gas safety practices.
• Good understanding of PTW, Risk Assessment, JSA/JHA, and Incident Investigation.
• Relevant HSE/Safety certifications will be an advantage.
• Strong communication and site-monitoring skills.

Work Location:Al Taweelah & KEZAD, Abu Dhabi

• Industry Preference: Oil & Gas / Process Plant / Refinery / Petrochemical / Industrial Projects.
