Position Overview
We are looking for a qualified and proactive
Safety Officer to ensure a safe working environment across our project operations. The successful candidate will monitor compliance with HSE policies, conduct inspections, identify hazards, and support the implementation of effective safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
- Prepare and maintain safety inspection reports, checklists, and incident records.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions for employees and subcontractors.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with site safety requirements.
- Assist in risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and method statement reviews.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor emergency preparedness and participate in emergency drills.
- Coordinate with project teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain safety documentation and ensure compliance with applicable Saudi regulations and project requirements.
- Immediately report serious safety violations or incidents to the relevant management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience as a Safety Officer, preferably within construction, MEP, or engineering projects.
- Good knowledge of HSE procedures, risk assessment, and workplace safety practices.
- Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are an advantage.
- Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a site/project environment.
- Bilingual in Arabic and English
- Immediate availability is preferred.
