Job Overview

IIQAF Group is seeking a vigilant and experienced Safety Officer (HSE Officer) in Abu Dhabi to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across construction sites. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in HSE management, site safety inspections, risk assessment, accident prevention, and UAE construction safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies on construction sites
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations and construction standards
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-miss reports
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions for site workers
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
  • Identify hazards and recommend corrective preventive actions
  • Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and project managers
  • Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all construction activities

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of UAE construction safety laws and regulations
  • Experience in site safety audits and risk management
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Ability to handle emergency situations effectively
  • UAE construction experience preferred
