Job Summary
Responsible for implementing and monitoring Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) management for electrical, mechanical, and building maintenance works, ensuring compliance with Singapore regulations and client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Implement WSH Management System and project safety plans to ensure regulatory and client compliance
- Review risk assessments, safe work procedures, and method statements to mitigate workplace hazards
- Perform routine site inspections and follow up on corrective actions to maintain safety standards
- Administer Permit-to-Work systems to control hazardous work activities
- Monitor electrical, mechanical, and building maintenance safety practices to prevent incidents
- Ensure compliance with Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), Work at Height, and Confined Space regulations
- Conduct safety inductions and toolbox meetings to communicate safety protocols effectively
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Maintain accurate WSH documentation and reports for audit and regulatory purposes
- Support audits and regulatory inspections by preparing necessary documentation and facilitating site access
- Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to approved safe work procedures and statutory requirements
- Collaborate with project teams and contractors to foster a safe working environment
- Work independently and collaboratively within teams to achieve safety objectives
- Communicate clearly and build positive interpersonal relationships to promote safety culture
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Management to support WSH goals
Required competencies and certifications
- MOM Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
- Knowledge of WSH Act, Risk Assessment (RA), Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), Work at Height, and Confined Space regulations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Leadership skills to guide and influence safety practices on site
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders effectively
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards
