Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all employees consistently implement the Company's HSE policies and procedures
  • Promote HSE awareness to field personnel to develop safe working behaviour
  • Conduct onsite inspection (site working environment, equipment, vehicles, facilities) and daily tours to ensure that work practices comply with standards in NMDC Group's HSE Manual and project-specific HSE requirements.
  • Identify and report HSE Observation and LSR violation
  • Verify HSE requirements for each work scope
  • Verify implementation of FRA control measures
  • Verify Sub-Contractors HSE performance and implementation of NMDC Group HSE standards
  • Carry out effective HSE induction programs for NMDC Group and subcontractors personnel to ensure HSE requirements and standards awareness.
  • Ensure that updated emergency response procedures are in place and that all personnel knows their respective roles.
  • Coordinate with site management teams to conduct regular emergency drills to ensure the highest level of preparedness in any emergency
  • Participate in the investigation of accidents/incidents and near-misses
  • Monitor the maintenance and inspection of life-saving and fire-fighting equipment. Ensure that adequate emergency equipment is available and maintained in optimum operating condition
  • Participate in onsite HSE internal meetings as a facilitator during the delivery of toolbox talks
  • Prepare weekly and monthly site HSE reports and statistics for further action by senior colleagues

Qualifications

  • Diploma in a related field, or equivalent
  • Holder of NEBOSH / IOSH Diploma or an equivalent internationally recognised HSE certification is preferable.
