Job Description

ABOUT SAINT LAURENT Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt--porter in a 1966 collection called Rive Gauche, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio-cultural landscape. In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe. Today, Saint Laurent collections include women's and men's ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear

MISSION

  • Support the execution of the editorial strategies (campaign, seasonal, event and product specific)

  • Manage the buying of the sample buy that is in line with the budget

  • Managing PR Editorial Budget along with coordination of the photoshoots

  • Create opportunity and manage product placements in line with product marketing calendar

  • Build the Editorial Strategy and plan according to key calendar events.

  • Proactively develop and nurture relationships with key Fashion Editor's and stylists

  • Responsible for the accurate and efficient stock control of all press samples using Fashion GPS

  • Assist in the ongoing maintenance of the press rack (dry cleaning, alterations etc.)

  • Proactively accessing DMR website to gauge editorial performance each month

  • Constantly update the Media List as per changes in editors/journalists

  • Ability to identify talents that fit the image of the brand and cultivate relationships

  • Declare all gifts to gifty

  • Tracking magazines, newspapers, websites and social media for Coverage on the brand and industry

  • Generate weekly clipping report for HQ

  • Sharing product press coverage each week to the stores

  • Sending out industry coverage to the corporate teams

  • Tracking Competitor events and maintaining a document to be shared with the events team and for internal reference on a monthly or quarterly basis

  • Preparing the quarterly competitor event analysis report

  • Ensuring that the DMR tracking and ensuring the performance stays at a certain ranking

  • Organization of press trips and Fashion week.

  • Review and manage press materials and related reports to WW

PROFILE

  • Previous experience (2 years+) in a similar role, ideally from retail or service-based industry preferably in the luxury environment or PR Agency

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc.)

  • Proven ability to work in highly pressured roles and situations

  • Customer service orientated attitude, driven by meeting and exceeding KPIs and targets

  • Ability to be agile in a dynamic work environment

  • Time management and prioritizing skills

  • Ability to be flexible to meet business needs

  • High attention to detail and a strong, professional work ethic

  • Self starter, with ability to work independently and with teams

  • Proficiency in using technology and/or learning about updated technologies

  • Proficiency in Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Passionate about luxury fashion

  • English speaker, Arabic is a plus
