Job Summary

The Sales-Account Manager will be responsible for managing strategic customer accounts and driving business growth across the MENA renewable energy market. The role focuses on developing long-term relationships with Independent Power Producers (IPPs), EPC contractors, consultants, government stakeholders, and key decision-makers while identifying new business opportunities and maximizing revenue across Company's product portfolio.

The incumbent will lead commercial and technical discussions, support project pursuits from opportunity identification through contract award, and contribute to regional sales planning and performance management. Additionally, the role provides guidance and mentorship to junior sales team members and supports the effective administration of sales operations.

1. Strategic Account Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and decision-makers across the renewable energy sector.
  • Act as the primary commercial contact for strategic accounts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster long-term partnerships with IPPs, EPC contractors, consultants, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, engagement, and retention.

2. Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across the MENA region.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of renewable energy projects.
  • Drive customer engagement through executive meetings, presentations, workshops, and product demonstrations.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and support contract finalization.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue objectives.

3. Market Intelligence & Sales Operations

  • Monitor market developments, project pipelines, industry trends, and competitor activities.
  • Provide regular market intelligence and business insights to management.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and performance reports.
  • Conduct customer financial assessments and commercial evaluations.
  • Support strategic sales planning and business growth initiatives.

4. Technical & Commercial Support

  • Maintain a strong understanding of Company's products, solutions, and value proposition.
  • Participate in technical discussions with clients, EPCs, consultants, and engineering teams.
  • Support solution development, proposal preparation, and commercial positioning.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to address customer requirements and market demands.
  • Stay informed on renewable energy technologies, industry innovations, and market regulations.

5. Team Leadership & Development

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior sales team members.
  • Support onboarding, training, and performance development activities.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Degree/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.

Experience and Expertise:

  • 5–8 years of experience in Key Account Management, Business Development, or Technical Sales within Renewable Energy, Solar PV, Power, or Energy Infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven experience managing strategic customer relationships and securing large-scale commercial opportunities.
  • Strong exposure to the KSA and GCC renewable energy markets.
  • Experience working with IPPs, EPCs, consultants, and government stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
