Sales Associate — Museum Studio Boutique, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi

Museum Studio is looking for a passionate, customer-focused Sales Associate to join our boutique team in Abu Dhabi. This is a fantastic opportunity for a profile interested in building a career in retail, tourism, and cultural institutions — combining strong customer service with hands-on exposure to a world-class scientific and cultural destination.

What you'll do:

1. Customer Service & Sales

– Welcome and assist museum visitors and customers in a warm and professional manner.

– Provide knowledgeable information about merchandise, including museum-inspired products, books, gifts, artwork, souvenirs, and special collections.

– Recommend products based on customer preferences and needs.

– Achieve team sales targets and contribute to overall boutique revenue.

– Handle customer enquiries, exchanges, returns, and complaints professionally.

2. Store Operations

– Operate the point-of-sale system (Lightspeed) accurately and efficiently.

– Process cash, foreign currencies, card, and other approved payment transactions.

– Maintain excellent product knowledge and stay informed about new products, exhibitions, and promotions.

– Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damaged products, or discrepancies to the Store Manager.

3. Merchandising, Events & Brand Representation

– Ensure merchandise is properly displayed, priced, labelled, and replenished.

– Assist with receiving deliveries, unpacking stock, stock transfers, and inventory counts.

– Keep the sales floor, display areas, and checkout counter clean, organized, and visually appealing.

– Support visual merchandising and seasonal or exhibition-related displays.

– Assist with special events, VIP visits, exhibition openings, and promotional activities.

– Maintain a professional appearance and represent the museum and boutique brand positively at all times.

Who we're looking for:

• Dynamic, organized, and outgoing personality suited to a fast-paced retail environment
• Based in Abu Dhabi
• Previous experience in retail, tourism, or museums is a plus but not required
• Genuine curiosity about natural history, science, or conservation
• Good level of English; Arabic fluency and additional languages are a strong asset
• Interest in growing a long-term career within the UAE's cultural and tourism sector
