Company Description

Akor Group is a registered importer and marketer of petroleum products in Sierra Leone, operating fuel stations across Freetown and other key cities. We are part of an integrated group providing essential services and products that support economic growth and quality employment.

MFK Capital Global Ltd specializes in precious metals trading and operates with the support and expertise of the AKOR Group of companies. We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager who is willing to relocate and lead on-the-ground operations in Sierra Leone.

Role Description

The Sales Coordinator will be responsible for receiving and managing customer fuel orders, coordinating with Operations and Finance for availability and payment verification, issuing delivery orders, and maintaining accurate documentation and customer communication throughout the sales and delivery process to support timely, controlled, and compliant product release.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive and log customer fuel orders via email or other approved channels.
  • Confirm product availability and uplift timelines with the Operations team.
  • Coordinate with Finance for payment verification and release approval prior to issuing delivery documents.
  • Prepare, issue, and control delivery orders to third-party storage providers in line with internal procedures.
  • Schedule and coordinate product uplift with customers and relevant parties; track orders to completion.
  • Maintain accurate sales, delivery, and customer records in ERP/Excel with supporting documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on order status, documentation, and delivery coordination.
  • Ensure timely submission of proof of delivery (POD) documents and supporting records to Operations.
  • Support invoicing and documentation processes by ensuring record completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with internal sales processes, approvals, and control procedures.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, or related).
  • Relevant training/certification in customer service, sales administration, or operations support is an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 2 years experience in sales coordination, customer service, order management, or a related field.
  • Experience in oil & gas / petroleum products / logistics or regulated supply environments is an added advantage.
  • Experience working with ERP/CRM systems and documentation-heavy workflows is an advantage.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong communication and customer service skills (written and verbal).
  • Good organizational and coordination abilities; able to manage multiple orders and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation discipline.
  • Comfortable working with controls (payment verification, approvals, audit trail discipline).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and comfort using ERP/CRM systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; able to coordinate across Sales, Operations, Finance, and external parties.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Basic understanding of sales order processing and delivery documentation.
  • Familiarity with inventory/order management systems (ERP/POS/CRM) is an advantage.
  • Ability to prepare delivery documents, trackers, and order status reports accurately.
