About Our Client
This is a front line sales and people leadership role for a key client of Michael Page. The Director of Sales & Marketing will take responsibility for growing revenue and maximising profit, through proactive selling and managing a focused specialist Sales and Marketing Team while building on existing accounts and developing new client relationships.
Job Description
As Sales Director, your key responsibilities will be:
- Together with the senior management define and implement the regional sales strategy
- To lead and manage the Sales and Marketing Teams, ensuring the delivery of revenue targets. Identify and manage strengths and weaknesses within the team and develop appropriately
- Take an active involvement in new business generation, credential pitches and closing key new accounts and events.
- Take responsibility for working with Sales Managers to follow up quotations raised and opportunities identified
- Report to the Senior Management Team on an ongoing basis with sales activities and progress against predefined targets.
- In conjunction with the Senior Management establish annual budgets for revenue, by market sector, Sales Manager and territory.
- Manage the process which is used to identify research and target new opportunities with clients, production companies, venues and specific events.
- Through regular monitoring, ensure that any customers with reducing year on year spending patterns or showing signs of those lapsing are identified for contact and investigation.
- During research identify existing clients that have other divisions or individuals that do not currently use the Company and target for growth
- Through monthly monitoring, ensure that all key clients and influencers are in regular contact with their designated representative
- Provide overall management of a CRM system and monitor business development data, leads, opportunities, conversion rate and intelligence.
- Oversee branding, websites and marketing requirements together the regional senior management and the VP of Marketing
The Successful Applicant
To be a successful candidate for this role, you must have the below experience:
- Currently leading a small-medium sized sales team within the UAE or with coverage across Middle East if based outside
- Experience within the audio-visual production sector OR affiliation with the live event production space
- Experience with delivering or managing large scale projects across corporate, live entertainment, tourism etc
- Overall professional experience of 13 years +
- Sales and sales management experience of minimum 5-7 years+
- Interest, passion and familiarity with the live event industry / sector or mega event production
- Bachelor's degree qualified
