About the Role
Wafra Capital, a CMA-licensed Category 1 financial services firm based in Dubai, is seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead our brokerage sales function and drive institutional and high-net-worth client acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead and grow the sales team across brokerage products and services
•Develop and execute client acquisition strategies for institutional and HNW segments
•Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and counterparties
•Ensure all sales activity complies with CMA regulations and internal policies
•Collaborate with compliance, risk, and operations teams on client onboarding and product rollout
•Report on sales performance and market opportunities to senior leadership
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in FX / financial brokerage.
• Strong sales-driven mindset with a proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding individual targets.
• Existing and active book of clients, with the ability to generate business and revenue from the early stages of joining.
• Strong experience in FX client acquisition, conversion, retention, and relationship management.
• Strong network of HNW and active FX clients, preferably within the UAE/GCC market.
• Ability to independently generate new business, maintain a strong pipeline, and consistently achieve monthly sales targets.
• Good understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements applicable to FX and brokerage activities.
•Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
• Previous experience with a CMA-licensed Category 1 brokerage is considered a strong advantage
Preferred
• Existing CMA-recognised qualifications or certifications
• Arabic language proficiency
• Experience with FX/currency brokerage products
