Our client, a well-established organisation within the FMCG sector, is seeking a highly accomplished Sales Director to lead its commercial function and drive sustained growth across the UAE. Position Overview
The Sales Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's commercial direction. This individual will be responsible for designing long-term sales strategies, guiding a multi-level sales team, and strengthening commercial relationships with key accounts. The role demands a leader who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution, ensuring sales objectives are achieved while maintaining strong internal collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the commercial vision and translate it into clear, measurable sales plans
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales organisation to ensure capability growth and consistent performance
- Build and expand relationships with major B2B clients and industry partners
- Assess market developments, competitor moves, and customer trends to identify new opportunities
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and product teams to align commercial initiatives
- Oversee budgeting, revenue planning, and performance management across all sales functions
- Represent the business at relevant industry events, trade forums, and networking engagements
Candidate Profile
- 1520 years of progressive sales experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Significant B2B exposure, ideally within FMCG and preferably in food-related categories
- Strong record of delivering sustainable revenue growth and managing large sales organisations
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and forecast accurately
- Skilled communicator able to engage both executive leadership and key customers
- Deep familiarity with the UAE's commercial landscape
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
