We are seeking a technically sharp, driven Sales Engineer to drive growth in our Building Retrofit Division, focusing specifically on the hotel and hospitality sector.
In this role, you will evaluate aging, inefficient central plant infrastructure in hotels and resorts and design modern, sustainable heating and domestic hot water (DHW) solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Site Surveys
- Conduct walk-throughs of existing hotel properties to audit legacy heating, laundry, and domestic hot water systems.
System Design & Optimization
- Conceptualize and propose optimal retrofit solutions tailored to hospitality demand profiles.
- Right-size equipment and integrate diverse technologies such as:
- Air/water-source heat pumps
- Solar thermal arrays
- Calorifiers
Technical Sales Presentations
- Translate complex mechanical layouts and engineering data into compelling commercial proposals for hotel decision-makers.
Pipeline & Account Management
- Manage the sales lifecycle from initial lead generation and quoting through technical clarification to closing.
Required Technical Expertise
To excel in this role, you must possess a strong working knowledge of commercial heating infrastructure, with a focus on modernizing legacy configurations.
Candidates must understand how to specify and integrate:
- Air-source and water-source heat pumps
- Solar thermal arrays
- Hybrid central plant systems
Central to this expertise is the ability to size and apply:
- Calorifiers (indirect water heaters)
- Plate heat exchangers
The successful candidate should be comfortable evaluating how these technologies interface with existing hydronic distribution systems to drastically reduce a building's energy footprint without compromising peak demand requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience
- 2 to 3 years of technical sales or application engineering experience specifically focused on the hotel and hospitality industry.
Industry Knowledge
- Deep familiarity with hotel building operations, guest-comfort constraints, and hospitality procurement/CAPEX cycles.
Education
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Equivalent hands-on field experience with a proven sales track record will absolutely be considered.
Driver's License
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for site visits and customer meetings.
