Candidate Profile:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum one year of hotel sales experience in the UAE, preferably within a five-star international hotel.
• Previous experience as a Sales Executive is preferred.
• Experience in Corporate or MICE sales, particularly within the pharmaceutical, healthcare or events sectors, would be a strong advantage.
• Good knowledge of the UAE market; Abu Dhabi or Dubai hotel experience and established local connections are highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify and follow up on new business opportunities.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
• Proactive, organized, target-driven and able to work independently while contributing effectively to the wider commercial team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Proactively develop and manage an assigned portfolio of Corporate and MICE accounts, with a primary focus on pharmaceutical companies and other assigned sectors.
• Identify, qualify and solicit new opportunities for corporate accommodation, groups, meetings, conferences and events.
• Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, site inspections, entertainment activities, roadshows and other business-development activities.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with corporate decision-makers, travel managers, procurement teams, event planners and agencies.
• Understand clients business requirements, travel patterns, production potential and decision-making processes.
• Develop knowledge of the specific requirements, approval processes and compliance expectations of pharmaceutical and healthcare clients.
• Prepare and coordinate proposals, agreements and client correspondence in collaboration with the Groups & Events, Revenue Management and Reservations teams.
• Follow up consistently on leads and enquiries to support conversion and achievement of individual and hotel revenue targets.
• Identify opportunities to generate revenue across accommodation, meetings, events, catering and food and beverage.
• Ensure confirmed business is communicated and handed over accurately and on time to the relevant operational departments.
• Monitor assigned account production, competitor activity and market trends, sharing relevant feedback with the sales leadership team.
• Maintain accurate and updated account, sales activity and opportunity information in the hotel's sales systems.
• Achieve assigned revenue and activity targets, including qualified client meetings, new-account acquisition and opportunities generated.
• Represent Le Royal Méridien Abu Dhabi professionally in all client and industry interactions.
• Deliver service excellence throughout the customer journey to strengthen client loyalty and increase the hotel's share of each account.
