About the Job
The Sales Executive MICE (Reactive) is a client-focused event coordinator and junior account manager responsible for managing small to medium confirmed group, meeting and event bookings from handover through to post-event follow-up. This role ensures seamless delivery of events, drives incremental revenue through upselling, maintains excellent client relationships, enforces operational accuracy, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. The Sales Executive acts as the frontline operational contact for clients and internal teams during the event lifecycle.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Event Delivery & Client Relationship Management
- Manage confirmed business handed over from the Proactive team, taking full ownership until event completion
- Act as primary client contact for assigned events: respond to client queries, provide timely updates, and manage expectations professionally
- Assist in detailed event planning and ensure all client requirements are captured, documented and distributed to internal stakeholders.
- Prepare, update and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), function sheets and any ancillary documentation accurately and on time
- Support and, when required, lead pre-conference and post-conference meetings with clients and internal teams
- Attend site inspections and client meetings onsite
Commercial Delivery & Upselling
- Identify upsell opportunities across F&B, AV, accommodation and ancillary services and proactively propose value-add options to clients
- Execute tactical upsell initiatives and follow up to secure additional revenue for events and rooms
- Support revenue tracking for assigned events and report on upsell performance
- Ensure accurate recording of all commercial agreements
Operational Coordination & Service Excellence
- Liaise daily with banquets/F&B, operations, front office, housekeeping, AV and finance to ensure flawless delivery of event specifications
- Monitor event set-up, run-of-show and on-the-day operations to promptly resolve issues and ensure client satisfaction
- Ensure all events comply with brand standards, safety policies and internal SOPs
Financial & Administrative Duties
- Monitor payment schedules for assigned events: follow up on deposits, interim payments and final settlements in line with hotel policy
- Ensure all billing instructions, master accounts and contract terms are correctly implemented as per policy
- Maintain accurate CRM records of all client communications, documentation, upsell agreements and event changes
- Update PMS/event blocks to reflect pick-up, rooming and release to maintain accurate forecasting
Post-Event Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct or assist with post-event debriefs; capture client feedback and record NPS/comments as directed
- Log operational issues, lessons learned and suggested improvements; escalate recurring problems
- Support initiatives to refine reactive processes, templates (BEOs, function sheets) and client servicing checklists
Support & Collaboration
- Work closely with the Proactive Sales team to ensure clean, complete handovers and maintain service continuity
- Provide cover and support for colleagues during high-volume periods
- Participate in team briefings, training, and departmental meetings to align on performance, standards and process changes
About You
- Hotel Management graduate specialized in sales
- 1 year of experience in Baquet Operations or Event Sales
- Knowledge of local businesses and business trends, as well as key source markets
- Computer literate with effective and outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- Local/additional international language is an added advantage
