Role Overview
The Sales Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth across both Retail and HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering) channels in the Gulf. The role focuses on expanding the customer base, managing existing relationships, and achieving sales targets through effective market engagement, brand visibility, and customer satisfaction. The Sales Executive will play a key role in promoting company products to supermarkets, groceries, hotels, restaurants, and catering firms while ensuring smooth coordination between sales, logistics, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Sales
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with supermarkets, minimarts, grocery stores, and other retail partners.
- Ensure product visibility, stock availability, and adherence to merchandising standards across all outlets.
- Negotiate product listings, shelf space, and promotional opportunities with retailers.
- Conduct regular market visits to assess competitor activity, pricing trends, and consumer preferences.
- Plan and execute in-store activations and promotional campaigns to boost sales and brand awareness.
- Brand building
HORECA Sales
- Identify, approach, and secure new clients in the HORECA segment, including hotels, restaurants, catering companies, and cafeterias.
- Present product portfolios, conduct tastings, and deliver samples to potential customers.
- Negotiate pricing structures, supply agreements, and contract terms to maximize profitability.
- Build long-term partnerships ensuring repeat business and customer retention.
- Coordinate closely with the logistics and operations teams to guarantee timely and accurate deliveries.
General Sales Duties
- Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Maintain up-to-date records of customer interactions, quotations, and sales activities in CRM systems.
- Follow up on payments, ensuring adherence to credit limits and company collection policies.
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and marketing events to enhance brand presence.
- Provide timely feedback to management regarding market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Candidate Profile
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
Experience
- Min 5 years of experience in sales, within FMCG, food distribution, supermarkets or hospitality supply sectors in the United Arab Emirates
- Demonstrated success in both retail and HORECA environments. Especially in the United Arab Emirates and Gulf region
- Sound understanding of United Arab Emirates /GCC market trends and customer dynamics
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- High degree of self-motivation, result orientation, and customer focus
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and deliver results under pressure
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Fluency in English (Arabic or Hindi is an advantage).
- Valid driving license (mandatory).
