Job Description – Sales Manager, Makkah
Position: Sales Manager – Makkah

Reports To: Cluster Commercial Lead / Hotel Manager
Position Summary
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue and developing business opportunities for the hotel in Makkah, with a strong focus on Hajj, Umrah, corporate, government, groups, travel trade, and local Saudi business segments.
The role requires a commercially driven Saudi sales professional with strong knowledge of the Makkah hospitality market, established relationships within the Kingdom, and the ability to actively generate new business while maintaining key existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
* Develop and execute the hotel's sales plan in line with annual revenue and occupancy targets.
* Proactively identify and secure new business across Hajj, Umrah, corporate, government, groups, travel agencies, DMCs and other relevant segments.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key Saudi companies, government entities, Hajj and Umrah operators, travel agencies and other business partners.
* Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, presentations and account reviews.
* Maintain a strong sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-up and conversion of opportunities.
* Negotiate corporate, group and wholesale agreements within approved commercial guidelines.
* Identify new market opportunities and continuously expand the hotel's account base.
Makkah, Hajj & Umrah Business
* Develop strong relationships with Hajj and Umrah companies and relevant travel partners.
* Support the commercial strategy for Ramadan, Hajj and other high-demand religious periods.
* Identify opportunities within domestic and international pilgrim markets.
* Maintain awareness of market developments, competitor activities and changes affecting the Hajj and Umrah business.
* Work closely with the Commercial and Revenue teams to maximize room yield and overall revenue during peak and shoulder periods.
Account Management
* Manage assigned key accounts and develop account plans to increase production.
* Monitor accounting performance against agreed targets and identify opportunities for growth.
* Ensure strong client engagement, retention and relationship management.
* Maintain accurate records of client activities, opportunities, contracts and follow-ups in the CRM system.
Commercial Performance
* Achieve agreed individual and hotel sales targets.
* Provide weekly updates on sales activities, pipeline, tentative and confirmed business.
* Participate in weekly commercial and revenue meetings.
* Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, market activity and new hotel developments.
* Work closely with Revenue, Reservations, Marketing and Operations to ensure commercial opportunities are effectively converted and delivered.
Key Performance Indicators
Performance will be measured against:
* Revenue generated from assigned accounts and segments
* Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets
* New accounts acquired and activated
* Hajj, Umrah and group business secured
* Conversion ratio of qualified leads
* Growth of existing key accounts
* Sales call and client engagement productivity
* Accuracy and quality of sales pipeline and CRM reporting
* Contribution to overall hotel occupancy, ADR and revenue performance
Qualifications & Experience
* Saudi
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, Hospitality, Marketing or related field preferred.
* Minimum 3–5 years of hotel sales or hospitality commercial experience, preferably within Makkah or the Western Region.
* Strong knowledge of the Makkah hotel market, Hajj and Umrah business environment.
* Existing network within corporate, government, travel trade, Hajj/Umrah or related segments is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated ability to generate new business and achieve revenue targets.
* Good understanding of hotel commercial principles, including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and revenue management.
* Experience using hotel CRM, PMS or sales systems is an advantage.
* Strong Arabic communication skills with good working proficiency in English.

The ideal candidate will understand the unique commercial dynamics of Makkah, including the importance of Ramadan, Hajj, Umrah and religious group business, while also developing sustainable year-round demand from corporate, government and travel-trade accounts.
