Job Purpose:

The Sales Manager – Travel Retail leads and develops MMI's Travel Retail business across airport retail, airlines, airport F&B and related channels, delivering sustainable profitable growth and establishing MMI as the preferred partner for travel retail operators, airlines and brand principals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Travel Retail business, delivering annual budgets, forecasts and P&L objectives
• Build and strengthen relationships with key travel retail operators, airlines, airport F&B partners and brand principals
• Negotiate annual agreements, tenders, promotional plans and commercial initiatives
• Drive a consumer- and brand-led approach across the wine and spirits portfolio
• Lead the airline business across onboard, lounge and airport service channels
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across duty free, airlines and airport F&B
• Lead and develop the Travel Retail team, building ownership, accountability and capability

Required Experience, Skills & Qualification:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in Travel Retail
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, written and verbal
• Strong financial modelling, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Team player and self-starter, able to take ownership of projects through to completion
• Travel Retail experience across the Middle East, Africa & Asia and a WSET qualification are a plus

Desirable Skills:

• Travel Retail experience in the Middle East, Africa & Asia, with a solid record of international success
• Comfortable and experienced operating in emerging markets
• Wine and spirits qualifications preferable (WSET)
