SENIOR B2B SALES & LAUNDRY PROJECTS EXECUTIVE
JOB OVERVIEW
Job Purpose
Aljabr Laundry is seeking an experienced Senior B2B Sales & Laundry Projects Executive to develop new corporate and institutional business, with particular focus on hotels, hospitality, healthcare, corporate accounts, and large-scale laundry service contracts.
This is not a conventional sales-only position. The successful candidate must combine strong B2B business development and contract-closing capabilities with a practical understanding of commercial laundry operations and the requirements involved in launching and servicing major laundry accounts.
The role will be responsible for managing opportunities from initial prospecting and client assessment through pricing, proposal preparation, negotiation, contract award, operational mobilization, and post-launch account management.
The ideal candidate is proactive, commercially driven, comfortable in the field, and capable of developing new business rather than relying solely on incoming enquiries.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
1. B2B Business Development
- Identify and develop new B2B laundry service opportunities.
- Proactively prospect for new corporate and institutional customers.
- Develop business within priority sectors including:
- Hotels and resorts.
- Hospitality groups.
- Hospitals and healthcare facilities.
- Corporate organizations.
- Staff accommodation and residential compounds.
- Large institutional and commercial customers.
- Conduct regular client visits and business development meetings.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers including procurement, operations, housekeeping, finance, and general management.
- Build and maintain a strong network within the Saudi B2B and hospitality market.
- Consistently generate qualified opportunities rather than depending on inbound enquiries.
2. Hospitality & Hotel Account Development
- Develop relationships with hotel owners, operators, procurement departments, housekeeping teams, and operations management.
- Identify opportunities for outsourced hotel laundry services.
- Understand hotel requirements relating to:
- Bed linen.
- Towels.
- F&B linen.
- Staff uniforms.
- Guest laundry.
- Other textile and laundry requirements.
- Assess expected daily and monthly volumes.
- Understand required collection and delivery schedules.
- Identify service-level, quality, turnaround-time, and operational requirements.
- Develop commercially attractive solutions appropriate to each hotel or hospitality account.
3. Client Needs Assessment
- Meet prospective clients and conduct a detailed assessment of their laundry requirements.
- Understand laundry categories, volumes, frequency, seasonality, service expectations, and required turnaround times.
- Review collection and delivery requirements.
- Identify special handling, packaging, sorting, hygiene, or operational requirements.
- Understand the client's existing laundry arrangement and key service challenges.
- Translate customer requirements into a commercially and operationally viable service proposal.
4. Pricing & Commercial Proposals
- Coordinate with management, operations, logistics, and finance to develop commercially viable pricing.
- Prepare professional technical and commercial proposals.
- Determine appropriate pricing structures based on service requirements, volumes, operational complexity, transportation requirements, and other relevant cost factors.
- Protect required commercial margins during the sales process.
- Present proposals clearly and professionally to customers.
- Respond to customer clarification and commercial questions.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, service levels, contract duration, and other commercial conditions.
- Obtain necessary internal approvals before final commercial commitments.
- Close opportunities and secure signed contracts or purchase orders.
5. RFQ, RFP & Tender Management
- Identify and follow relevant tender and procurement opportunities.
- Manage customer RFQs and RFPs.
- Review tender requirements and commercial conditions.
- Coordinate preparation of technical and commercial submissions.
- Ensure submissions are accurate, competitive, and delivered within required deadlines.
- Attend clarification meetings and commercial negotiations when required.
- Follow tenders consistently until award or formal closure.
6. Sales Pipeline Management
- Maintain a structured and continuously updated sales pipeline.
- Record and track opportunities from prospecting through contract award.
- Classify opportunities according to:
- Account.
- Estimated contract value.
- Expected volume.
- Probability of closing.
- Expected closing date.
- Next required action.
- Maintain disciplined follow-up on all active opportunities.
- Provide realistic sales forecasts.
- Identify stalled opportunities and implement appropriate follow-up actions.
- Report significant wins, losses, risks, and competitor activity to management.
7. New Contract Mobilization & Laundry Project Launch
- Coordinate with operations before committing to the launch of major new accounts.
- Support planning for the mobilization of newly awarded laundry contracts.
- Ensure operational teams clearly understand:
- Expected volumes.
- Laundry categories.
- Collection schedules.
- Delivery schedules.
- Transportation requirements.
- Sorting requirements.
- Packaging requirements.
8. Operational & Commercial Coordination
- Act as the commercial link between the customer and relevant internal departments.
- Coordinate with laundry operations, logistics, finance, customer service, and management.
- Ensure customer commitments are clearly communicated internally.
- Escalate operational risks that may affect contractual commitments.
- Work with operations to resolve service issues while protecting the customer relationship.
- Avoid making operational commitments to clients without confirming internal capability.
- Ensure commercial considerations are incorporated when resolving service issues or client requests.
9. Account Management & Client Retention
- Maintain strong relationships with existing B2B customers.
- Conduct regular account follow-ups and client meetings.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and identify potential service concerns.
- Work proactively to reduce the risk of account loss.
- Identify opportunities to increase volumes or add additional services.
- Support contract renewals and commercial renegotiations.
- Develop repeat business and referrals from existing clients.
- Identify expansion opportunities within customer groups and related entities.
10. Collections & Commercial Follow-Up
- Monitor payment performance of assigned accounts in coordination with Finance.
- Follow up commercially when customer payments become overdue.
- Maintain awareness of outstanding balances when negotiating additional business.
- Support resolution of invoice disputes and commercial discrepancies.
- Ensure sales growth is accompanied by acceptable collection performance.
11. Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Prepare regular weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Report on:
- Client visits.
- New leads.
- Qualified opportunities.
- Proposals submitted.
- Pipeline value.
- Expected contract awards.
- Contracts won and lost.
- New revenue.
- Account renewals.
- Collection issues.
- Monitor competitor activity and market pricing where possible.
- Provide management with feedback regarding client requirements and emerging market opportunities.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years of professional B2B sales experience.
- Strong previous experience dealing with corporate or institutional customers.
- Proven experience in the Saudi Arabian market is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial laundry services is a major advantage.
- Strong previous exposure to the hotel and hospitality sector is highly desirable.
- Experience dealing with hotel procurement, housekeeping, operations, or management teams is preferred.
- Experience with linen, uniforms, guest laundry, or other recurring laundry contracts is highly desirable.
- Previous involvement in launching or managing new service contracts or projects is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to independently generate and close new business.
- Experience preparing quotations and commercial proposals.
- Experience negotiating B2B contracts.
- Experience handling RFQs, RFPs, and tenders.
- Good understanding of pricing, margins, commercial terms, and collections.
- Existing relationships within the hospitality, healthcare, corporate, or institutional market are considered a strong advantage.
