Role Description

A Sales Representative is responsible for selling products or services directly to customers or businesses, generating revenue, and building strong client relationships. The role focuses on identifying prospects, closing deals, and achieving sales targets through proactive outreach and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identifying and reaching out to potential customers (cold calls, emails, networking, inbound leads)
  • Presenting and demonstrating products or services to clients
  • Understanding customer needs and recommending suitable solutions
  • Negotiating pricing, terms, and closing sales deals
  • Maintaining strong relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business
  • Meeting or exceeding monthly/quarterly sales targets
  • Managing sales pipeline and updating CRM systems
  • Following up on leads, quotations, and proposals
  • Coordinating with marketing and operations teams for smooth order fulfillment
  • Handling customer objections and resolving basic issues
Qualifications (Must-have)
  • High school diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
  • 1–5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills
  • Confidence in handling objections and closing deals
  • Goal-driven and self-motivated personality
  • Basic understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
  • Good organizational and follow-up skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Background in industries like FMCG, SaaS, telecom, retail, real estate, or B2B services
  • Experience in both inbound and outbound sales environments
  • Familiarity with sales reporting and pipeline tracking tools
  • Basic understanding of sales KPIs (conversion rate, average deal size, sales cycle)
  • Multilingual ability for international or regional sales roles
  • Experience in digital sales or e-commerce sales is a plus
  • Training in sales techniques or negotiation skills is beneficial
