Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Salesperson Food & Beverage (Wholesale) with a strong background in rice trading and distribution. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in wholesale markets, strong relationships with supermarkets, wholesalers, catering companies, and restaurants, and the ability to drive sales volume, expand market coverage, and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage wholesale sales of rice and food products across assigned territories.
Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers, distributors, supermarkets, restaurants, catering companies, and institutional clients.
Promote different rice varieties (Basmati, Sella, Creamy, Golden, Amber, etc.) and explain quality, origin, and cooking characteristics.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets and volume objectives.
Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
Conduct regular market visits to monitor competitors, pricing, and market trends.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts within company policy.
Follow up on orders, deliveries, payments, and after-sales service.
Prepare sales reports, customer feedback, and market intelligence reports.
Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
Ensure brand visibility and proper product placement in wholesale outlets.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 35 years of experience in food & beverage wholesale sales, preferably rice.
Strong knowledge of rice varieties, grades, packaging sizes (5kg, 10kg, 40kg), and wholesale pricing structures.
Proven experience dealing with wholesale markets, distributors, and large buyers.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
Good reporting and basic computer skills (Excel, CRM, or sales systems).
Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
