Sales Specialist & Customer Support - Freight Forwarding
About the Role
The Freight Forwarding Sales Specialist plays a key role in driving business growth and revenue within the logistics and freight forwarding sector. This position is responsible for promoting and selling international freight forwarding services to businesses involved in import and export activities, while developing long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and industry events.
Qualify prospective clients to assess their logistics and freight forwarding requirements.
Prepare and deliver customized proposals, including service offerings and pricing.
Negotiate rates, close sales, and onboard new customers.
Account Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Understand client-specific shipping needs and provide tailored logistics solutions.
Manage and monitor client accounts to support ongoing business growth.
Sales & Market Intelligence
Stay informed on market trends, industry regulations, and competitor activities within the freight forwarding industry.
Develop in-depth knowledge of the company's services and solutions.
Contribute to the planning and execution of the company's overall sales strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years experience in freight forwarding sales.
Solid understanding of logistics operations, carrier routes, and freight services.
