Job Title: Sales Specialist (Debit/ Credit cards)

Term: 12 months (contract)

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

The Sales Specialist Credit & Debit Cards is responsible for driving the growth and adoption of card products across issuing financial institutions and strategic partners. The role focuses on supporting banks in expanding their credit and debit card portfolios, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering tailored payment solutions that align with client objectives and market trends.

Working closely with issuer clients, internal sales teams, product specialists, and regional stakeholders, the Sales Specialist will support go-to-market strategies, product launches, and portfolio optimization initiatives. The role requires strong knowledge of the payments ecosystem, the ability to position the value proposition effectively, and the capability to collaborate across a matrix organization to deliver revenue growth and client success.

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Identify and develop opportunities to grow credit and debit card portfolios with existing and prospective issuer clients.
  • Support banks in the design, launch, and optimization of card products, including consumer credit, debit, and digital card solutions.
  • Partner with issuer clients to develop portfolio growth strategies focused on card issuance, activation, usage, and revenue generation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including product, marketing, risk, and consulting to deliver integrated payment solutions and commercial initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver compelling client presentations and proposals that articulate the value of our card products, services, and data-driven insights.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and portfolio performance to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Support the rollout of new products, digital payment solutions, and innovation initiatives within client portfolios.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within financial institutions to strengthen partnerships and drive long-term business growth.

Knowledge and Experience:


  • 810 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within payments, banking, fintech, or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of card issuing, including credit and debit card products, cardholder lifecycle management, and portfolio growth strategies.
  • Knowledge of the payments ecosystem, including card schemes, digital payments, tokenization, and emerging payment technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience working with financial institutions and managing client relationships at multiple organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market insights, portfolio data, and performance metrics to drive strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders in a matrix environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives, collaborate across teams, and deliver results in a fast-paced, global organization.

Mandatory Skills:


  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Previous experience within Banking, Digital Payment & Card solutions, or the FinTech industry.
  • Regional experience across the GCC, including working in a faced-paced matrix organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) in English; fluency in Arabic preferred.

Preferred Skills:


  • The ability to analyse data, troubleshoot payment issues, optimize processes, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Good understanding of payment systems, digital platforms, system workflows, security basics, and industry technologies.
  • An understanding of regional regulations across financial services or payment networks.
