Job Description

Job Title: Sales Supervisor

Reports To: Sales Manager

Business Unit: ACCBC – Egypt

Function: Sales & Commercial

Location: Red Sea, Egypt

Grade: TBC

Job Purpose

To achieve monthly sales targets across an assigned area in Egypt by leading, developing, and motivating a field sales team, ensuring disciplined daily execution, effective customer engagement, and full compliance with ACCBC sales, credit, collection, and HR policies.

Operating Context

The Sales Supervisor operates within ACCBC's Egypt commercial operations, managing a team of sales representatives across an assigned area. The role operates within the following context:

  • Field Sales Execution: The role is accountable for daily sales execution across a defined geographic area, requiring hands-on supervision of sales representatives, outlet-by-outlet performance tracking, and real-time resolution of field challenges.
  • Traditional Trade Environment: Egypt's fragmented traditional trade environment requires consistent route planning, journey plan adherence, and proactive customer relationship management across a high-volume outlet base.
  • Policy & Compliance Framework: All commercial activities must comply with ACCBC's Credit Policy, Collection Policy, Sales Policies, Logistics Policies, Code of Conduct, and HR Policies.
  • Egyptian Labour Law Compliance: The role is governed by Egyptian Labour Law and ACCBC HR Policy for all people management activities including discipline, leave, grievances, and onboarding.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

A. Sales Target Achievement

• Agree on sales, prices, contracts, and payment terms with customers in line with ACCBC Credit and Collection Policy.

• Promote new products and special deals to the assigned customer base, maximising volume and distribution opportunities.

• Overcome customer objections through structured negotiation and solution-oriented engagement.

• Monitor each sales representative's daily target achievement against plan and take corrective action where required.

• Ensure both qualitative and quantitative monthly targets are achieved across the assigned area.

B. Daily Sales Team Meeting & Planning

• Open the daily sales team meeting with a review of the previous day's results by sales person, by outlet, and by KPI.

• Communicate and agree daily targets by sales person, by outlet, and by KPI.

• Discuss and agree the action plan for each sales representative for the day ahead.

• Coach and resolve operational challenges raised by the team during the daily briefing.

• Secure each team member's commitment to their daily sales targets before deployment.

• Check the cleanliness and presentation of team uniforms before the start of the day.

• Ensure all team members have their Playbook, completed daily plans, and Journey Plans before leaving.

• Motivate the team and reinforce a positive, results-focused energy at the start of each working day.

C. Reporting & Sales Intelligence

• Provide regular feedback on sales trends, customer behaviour, and market developments to the Sales Manager.

• Complete all reporting requirements accurately and within agreed timelines, including daily sales reports and KPI submissions.

• Analyse area performance data and share structured insights with the Sales Manager to support commercial planning.

D. Responsibilities, Planning & Compliance

• Develop and apply self-learning to continuously improve personal and team commercial effectiveness.

• Demonstrate sound decision-making in field situations and escalate decisions outside authority to the Sales Manager.

• Implement and enforce ACCBC compliance standards across all team activities and customer interactions.

• Recruit capable team members in line with ACCBC hiring standards and role requirements.

• Comply fully with the ACCBC onboarding process for all new team members joining the area.

E. Continuous Improvement & Team Development

• Apply root cause analysis (RCA) methodology to resolve recurring performance issues or field challenges.

• Conduct regular performance and development reviews with each sales representative, providing structured feedback and coaching.

• Develop the capabilities of team members through on-the-job coaching, feedback, and targeted development actions.

F. Leadership & Team Motivation

• Build, lead, and develop a highly motivated, results-oriented sales team across the assigned area.

• Prepare the team to adapt to market changes, commercial priorities, and business direction shifts.

• Recognise and reward individual and team achievements, maintaining high engagement and positive team morale.

G. People Management & HR Compliance

• Handle team grievances professionally and in line with ACCBC HR Policy and Egyptian Labour Law.

• Apply disciplinary measures as required, following ACCBC HR Policy and Egyptian Labour Law procedures at all times.

• Manage team member leave cycles, ensuring operational continuity across the area is maintained.

Sales Performance

• Monthly sales volume and value vs target – qualitative and quantitative targets achieved

• Distribution coverage vs plan across assigned area

• New product and promotional deal sell-in rate

Team Execution

• Daily meeting conducted and documented – 100% adherence

• Journey plan compliance rate across the sales team

• Sales representative daily target achievement rate vs plan

Reporting & Compliance

• Daily sales reports submitted on time with zero missing submissions

• Zero ACCBC policy or compliance breaches across the team

• Onboarding and HR compliance adherence for all new team members

Required Experience and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Valid driving licence is required.

• Excellent written and verbal English language skills.

• Knowledge of Egypt market dynamics and Egyptian Labour Law.

Minimum Experience

• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in FMCG, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

• Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets in a field sales environment.

• Experience in the GCC market is an advantage.
