Your role and responsibilities
Support the Sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products, automation solutions and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area.

1. Supports the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers as per bid and proposal process. Provides technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations and offers product/ solution/service related training.

2. ‎ Ensures the preparation of technical and financial aspects of the ‎offer, indicating prices and trading conditions (Technical, commercial ‎& legal aspects are addressed).

3. Prepares/supports preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit/feeder factory indications and Sales organization directives. Participates in the kick off meeting organized by the project team.

4. Defines cost for the proposed solution and communicates to Sales

organization.

5. Well understanding of risk management and provides information to the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and sometimes participates in the risk review assessment

6. Analyzes customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by the Sales organization

7. Performs lost proposal analysis, identifies potential cause, and recommends future actions in cooperation with Sales/Local Business Unit to obtain better future results.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Ideally you should be a Bachelor's in Electronics / Electrical / Communication Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years engineering experience in industrial automation with proposal and cost estimation experience a plus
  • Computer skills with Good experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and MS-Project
  • Good knowledge of Automation solutions (DCS, SCADA, PLCs) with prior experience of ABB Control systems a plus
  • Good knowledge about Industrial Networking, Communication protocols and standards.
  • Prior experience of ABB Automation products is advantage
  • Can provide a technical solution from ABB control system products and comply with customer requirements
  • Can develop cost element sheet, project scope and analysis related risks
  • Good knowledge about contractual terms and conditions.
  • Very good English writing skills and can present the technical solution through technical proposal.
  • Strong ability to communicate verbally and written
  • Understanding of basic accounting practices/cost Development
  • Familiar with Saudi arabia market, key customer's standards and bidding process.
  • Experience with Key customer in Saudi Arabia like Aramco, SABIC, SWCC, SEC,...
  • Fluent in English with Arabic a plus
